dc.description.abstractThe research study was conducted to investigate the relationship between institutional resource planning and internal efficiency of Universal Primary Schools in Kalungu County Masaka District. The objectives of the study were to: establish the relationship between institutional personnel panning and internal efficiency of UPE schools; establish the relationship between institutional financial planning and the internal efficiency of UPE schools; establish the relationship between institutional material resource planning and internal efficiency of UPE schools. Non-experiential cross sectional survey design was used. The study was carried out in 59 out of the 70 Universal Primary Schools. Proportionate stratified, purposive and lottery sampling methods were used to select the sample elements. Questionnaire, documentary analysis and interview guide tools were used to gather the research data. The hypotheses were verified using the Pearson product moment correlation test. The study findings revealed that institutional resource planning in respect to personnel, finance and instructional material resources is related to the internal efficiency of universal primary schools. The study concluded that institutional personnel, financial and material resource planning is related to the internal efficiency of Universal primary schools. The researcher recommends that school administrators in UPE schools should carry out personnel, financial and instructional material planning to improve internal efficiency in their schools.en_US
