dc.description.abstractThe study sets out to find the influence of political development on Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. It was carried out in 2008 examining the extent to which political development influences the education in Kampala and Mukono district. It was guided by a number of elements which included; to find out how democracy influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono District, to find out how multiparty influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono District. and constitutionalism influences Uganda’s education in kampala and mukono district. The respondents of the study were the students, politician, policy makers and informed key informants. A cross sectional survey design was used to collect date on the relevant variables. Data was analyzed using the chi-square statistics because the two variables were categorical. The findings of the study indicated that: Democracy influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. Multiparty influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. Constitutionalism influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. While the conclusions of the study were:- Democracy has an influence on Uganda’s education in Kampala and mukono district. Multiparty system influences Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. Constitutionalism has an influence on Uganda’s education in Kampala and Mukono district. In relation to that, the recommendations of the study were: Democratic ideas should be trained to student’s right from elementary schools. This will lead to responsible citizens in the country The government should allow student to participate in multiparty politic, train patriotism to all Ugandan in Kampala and Mukono districts thus unity in the country. The constitution should be translated to all local languages, so that they can be to interpret the articles in the constitution especially those which influence the education thus keeping law and order.en_US
