Quality nursing care is a major concern for all health service delivery bodies as well as the public. It is also seen in terms of human rights receiving information, having access to services as well as safety, privacy, respect, politeness, kindness and continuity of care. This study discovered patients’ attitude towards and the level of satisfaction with the quality of nursing care in Lower Mulago Hospital Medical and Surgical wards. The research was quantitative in methodology and hospital based. Standardized questionnaires were administered to 150 patients who were present on medical and surgical wards at the time of the study. The findings revealed that patients defined nursing care as quality when the nurses were kind, approachable, provided information to them, made them feel safe and comfortable on the ward.
