    Abstract
In Uganda, Oesophageal cancer is the third commonest malignancy in men and the fourth commonest in women, with an age standardized incidence rate of 13 - 14 per 100,000 of the population1,2. It remains a challenging tumour to treat with many patients presenting with advanced disease3,4. The currently accepted most appropriate approach to the management of Oesophageal cancer and that deemed available and accessible in Uganda is outlined in this document. Members of the Uganda Cancer Working Group have compiled it.
