The study revealed that there are many factors that cause land disputes which included continuous increase in population, customary land ownership, land grabbing, lack of transparency in land putting in place strong laws and regulations guiding the police in cases of land dispute investigations address land disputes. The study used a cross sectional survey research design and considered both improving the welfare of Police Officers, improving information and communication technologies, managed to respond back. Data was collected using questionnaires and interview guide. of police officers, poor communication and co-ordination when it comes to land matters and conflict to land disputes, the challenges faced by police during land dispute investigations, suitable strategies qualitative and quantitative approaches.
