    Abstract
    This report is a PGD industrial training Civil Engineering report comprising of the works that I practically trained in and summarized in three Chapters which are included in the Introduction, Documentation and Design Details and Conclusion. The main purpose of the training was to learn, understand and practice the basics of a good design for the water supply systems. This included but not limited to Baseline survey to assess the social economic status of the benefiting communities, Forecasting of the water demand putting into consideration the gender issues over a 20 years horizon, Assessment of capacity of the existing water supply system and propose away for the extension of the water supply system, Assessment of potential environmental impacts on the water supply system and propose mitigation measures, Conducted a topographic survey, Preparation of a detailed engineering design of the water supply system complete with costs and bid document to assist the District in the development of an improved water supply system and reporting.
