| dc.description.abstract | Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system is one of the most popular business management systems, providing benefits of real-time capabilities and seamless communication for business in large organizations. However, not all ERP implementations have been successful. Since ERP implementation affects an entire organization in aspects such as process, people, and culture, there are a number of challenges that companies may encounter in implementing ERP systems. Recently, some industries are replacing their legacy systems with ERP systems to improve management and administration. Therefore this study focused on challenges of ERP implementation in manufacturing industry. It involves review of previous studies focusing on risks involved in the implementation of ERP systems. Questionnaires were administered to 40 employees, among which 10 ERP top managers were interviewed. SPSS was used for data analysis. The results from this study contributed to contextual understanding of distinctive challenges in ERP implementation in the manufacturing industry. | en_US |
