    Abstract
The major aim of this project was to develop an automated system that can manage parking in Makerere University. Currently, parking at Makerere University has not been given a lot of serious thought and planning. Cars just park wherever they find except for the top University Officials who have their spaces reserved. This is becoming a problem especially with the increasing number of cars in the University. There has also been a problem of planning since there are no daily weekly monthly reports to show how many cars enter and leave the University. The developed system enables automated allocation of parking space to cars. This is helpful for effective utilization of parking space in the University and generation of periodical traffic reports to be used for project ional planning of future parking space needs for the University, The system was developed using C sharp(C#) and the database was developed using SQL server
