    Abstract
A few universities have been concerned with giving academic advice to their students, most of which is advice on which courses to take. This project report is about a system that assists students at the faculty (BIT students) to choose their elective course units according to their interests. This is because some students enroll for courses that they know nothing about and end up losing interest in the course since they have no prior knowledge of what the course is about. This system comes in handy in such a way that students are able to select an elective according to their interests. And since it is web-based, access to the system can be anytime. This will reduce the problem of late registration due to the fact the students do not make up their minds quickly if they do not know what the elective is about.
