dc.description.abstractThis research investigated the significance of Teamwork at MG Engineers and Contractors Limited, Kampala – Uganda towards organizational performance. The study was designed as a cross-sectional survey employing both primary and secondary research approach; using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The results showed that teamwork as a performance strategy was not implemented effectively at MG Engineers and Contractors Limited and this was attributed to various factors including poor team composition, lack of motivation and morale among employees and team development since most cases the teams are disbanded at the end of the each project. The key recommendations for MG Engineers and Contractors Limited, Kampala includes: embracing the techniques of Teamwork for organizational performance, following the ‘McKinsey Seven S’ framework to appraise the organization against strategy, structures, systems, style, staff, skills and shared values as well as designing ways on how to deliver superior and high quality services and works to their clients in ways better than their competitors.en_US
