    Abstract
This project was aimed at automating manual computation of costs during road construction so as to ease computation of costs for a particular road. The study was concerned with design and implementation of Road construction management System by gathering basic requirements for Road Construction. Although the system increases accessibility and retrieval of data and information by the users it requires a high level of security and privacy. Currently engineers enter the calculated costs on excel sheets for each road. Here people are employed to enter the road details and its costs manually into the computer. This project automates the process of loading any amount of data from an excel file to the database using SQL server, C# programming and computes the estimated costs for a particular road and finally generates reports for each road fed into the system.
