Its goal it to provide a framework for how to keep records about employees and differentiate between current and emerging automated records keeping and learn from example of how organizations are profiting from converged application systems. The relationships between entities were established and system flow chart diagram generated. As a result of the ever growing number of employees as well as their records, there is need by the human resource to update the database. The findings show that database applications indeed play a great role in improving decision making and management of employee records by providing timely access to information resources. MYSQL software development tool was used to develop the database. The application is complete with user interface, summarized but detailed reports, update forms, for users and security controls were necessary such that the user can start deriving value from the new application. It is recommended that organizations should play a critical role in increasing computer awareness in the developing countries most especially in Uganda.
