The study was carried out to investigate moral decadence as the cause of the persistent spread of HIV/AIDS in Bukalagi Catholic parish. Consequently, the research sought to avail a solution to this plight of moral decadence in society at large that has enormously been responsible for causing the persistent spread of HIV/AIDS in Bukalagi Catholic parish. Most importantly still, the study set out to expose the reality of moral decadence, expose the causes and means through which HIV/AIDS is spread, show its impact and show possible interventions to the spread of HIV/AIDS. This research was conducted to try and use moral rehabilitation as a viable solution to reducing the spread of HIV/AIDS. This was so not because other factors have not countered the phenomenon but the fact is that moral rehabilitation is a solution per excellence and in the struggle it is embedded in all the would be anticipated solutions. In other words, moral rehabilitation is a salient measure and strategy according to the anticipation of the researcher and the study findings. Both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection have been used in the research and data was solely obtained through: interviews, questionnaires, oberservation and literature review. So, the research relied basically on secondary and primary sources. Data were summarized and coded into themes and sub themes from which analysis was basically made, conclusions and recommendations drawn. The study found out many themes of interest pertaining to the topic among which the salient ones need to be noted. There is a relationship between moral decadence and the persistent spread of HIV/AIDS in direct proportions. Moral decadence has been viewed to be reflected in areas of foreign cultures, alcohol consumption, irresponsible sexual behaviours, domestic violence, indecent dressing codes and pornography. The research makes precise conclusions that there is need to humanize those living with HIV/AIDS and we must re-think our HIV/AIDS prevention strategies. The research made a recommendation that behavior change remains the salient strategy of HIV/AIDS control and therefore innovative strategies need to be put in place to influence behaviour change like forbidding irresponsible sexual behaviours, positive living and improve on the dress code.en_US
