    The contribution of catholic founded schools towards the academic performance of students in Gulu Municipality in the light of “gravissimum educationis".

    Abstract
    The research was based in Gulu Municipality carried out in all Catholic founded Secondary schools to meet the aim and objective of this very research. The major objective was to find out how Catholic founded Schools influences academic performance of students. The study involved both administrators of Gulu Municipality, Religious leaders and some members of the Lay faithful. Research questionnaires were sent to the randomly sampled respondents and focus group discussions were held. The data was then analyzed using statistical procedures. This research work is basically divided into five chapters. Chapter one deals with the background of the study, statement of the problem, main objective, specific objectives, research questions, hypotheses, justification, the significance and the scope of the study. Chapter two deals with the Literature review more especially presenting the Declaration on Christian Education Vatican II Gravissimum Educationis 28 October, 1965. Chapter three deals with research design and methodology used. Chapter four typically deals with presentation of data collected and analysis of it and chapter five is the summary, conclusions drawn and recommendations made by the researcher.
