    Abstract
Integration of labour migrants into the job sector is essential for economic and social transformations. In Uganda, an efficient integration process would enable the country to benefit from these two aspects, and in addition meet the 2030 Agenda and Uganda's Third National Development Plan, as well as foster technology use. Despite the strong demonstrable benefits, the integration of labour migrants into the job sector of Uganda is still a challenge with problems like the exploitation of labour migrants. This study sought to design an e-Government framework to enable the successful integration of labour migrants into the job sector of Uganda using the design science approach and mixed methods. The scope of the study included identifying challenges in the current labour-migrant integration process and obtaining requirements for an e-Government framework. The requirements identified were used to design the framework, which was validated to ensure its suitability and understandability aspects. This research designed an e-Government framework for the integration of labour migrants into the job sector of Uganda, with constructs which include a one-stop e-Government site portal, electronic devices, e-Monitoring system, favourable labour policies, practical assistance, participation of actors, knowledge provision, onboarding (buddy programs) and acculturation strategies. The designed framework can be adopted for use by other economically and technologically transitioning countries with similar contexts as Uganda.
