    Abstract
The study investigates the impact of Family Planning on family among Christians of Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish in light of Humanae Vitae. With the study, the researcher aimed at identifying the impact of family planning methods such as; condoms, diaphragms, withdrawal and abstinence on family among Christians of Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish. The research was based on the following objectives; to investigate the impact of using condoms, diaphragms on family in Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish, to establish the positive or negative influence of withdrawal method on the families in Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish and to find out the impact of using natural means on family in Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish. To achieve these objectives, the researcher used questionnaires and interview guide to collect informations. The study shows that the impact of family planning methods negatively influences the decision of families toward sexual activities and they will become promiscuous. Therefore those intending to use family planning are advised to take it seriously that some of the methods are not safe, because of the associated loop holes, otherwise the impact may lead to pregnancy or STIs and other related diseases may set in. The researcher recommends that the Christians of Omiya Anyima Catholic Parish should seek prior knowledge about family planning from experts before using them, Government and some NGOs should provide medical personnel, guidance and counseling and expert in the field of family planning to educate families about family planning and their impacts. Churches should also teach those intending to participate in family planning to choose the best methods that do respect human dignity and marital fidelity as in (HV.1, 13) which state that both man and woman must value and be faithful to God’s design. Therefore this helps to protect women from the health risks that may occur before, during or after childbirth.
