    Abstract
The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between social media management and discipline of undergraduate students at Makerere University. Focusing on how regulatory policies, online activities and risks mitigation strategies related to the discipline of undergraduate students at Makerere University, this study was guided by a cross sectional survey and correlational research design. Using a sample of 278 undergraduate students at Makerere University, data were collected using self-administered questionnaires and analyzed using percentages and descriptive statistics such as means, median and standard deviation. Pearson‟s Linear Correlation Coefficient was used to test the hypothesis. The findings revealed that regulatory policies, monitoring of online activities and risks mitigation strategies were significantly positively related to discipline of students. It was therefore, concluded that there is significant positive relationship between regulatory policies, monitoring online activities and risks mitigation strategies and discipline of undergraduate students at Makerere University. Basing on the conclusions, it was recommended that, Makerere University Management should design specific regulatory policies since they enhance discipline of undergraduate students; and should monitor online activities as a way of enhancing discipline of students. It was also recommended that Makerere University Management should design risks mitigation strategies in order to enhance discipline of students. Due to financial and time constraints, the study centered on regulatory policies, monitor online activities and risks mitigation strategies as potential variables relating to discipline of students. However, there are other variables like administrative policies, resource availability and utilization which may relate to discipline of undergraduate students. Therefore, research needs to be carried on those factors to see how they relate to discipline of undergraduate students.
