dc.description.abstract Bugobero health centre still lags far behind in attaining the goals due to several factors that hinder service delivery such as inadequate knowledge among health care providers, difficulty to travel to access care, financial crisis, household activities and lack of institutional support for evidence based low cost interventions among others. Therefore the purpose of these study was to investigate the factors responsible for the poor service delivery at Bugobero Health Centre IV in Manafwa District with specific focus on assessing the different type of services offered at a health center, finding out the factors affecting service delivery and exploring appropriate strategies that can be used to improve service delivery at Bugobero Health centre IV, Manafwa District. This study adopted a cross sectional design which was quantitative in nature and a sample size of 136 was obtained from a population of 209 using simple random sampling and convenience sampling methods. Data was collected from both the primary and secondary sources and the primary data was collected using questionnaires. Descriptive statistics was used to analyze and present the data using tables according to the objectives According to the findings of the study, the health centre offers surgical operations, family planning, HIV/AIDS Counseling and testing, nutrition, Antenatal care, Postnatal, immunization, health education, Laboratory services and Dental services with both In-patients, Out-patients services. It was also found out that the health centres does not obtains all the necessary supplies from the government on time, Employees do not feel that their potential is fully rewarded, there was low political support in the budgetary and allocation process for effective health service delivery and enhancing accessibility and rationale utilization of health care facilities at Bugobero health centre Basing on the findings of the study, it was recommended that there is need for the Ministry of Health through the ministry of public service recruit and train more health workers, furnish the various sections with all the necessary supplies for effective, improve on the remuneration, send health personal for refresher training so as to equip them with new skills and innovations, check on Political interference into the operation of the health system and improve. en_US
