dc.description.abstract Property managers work with vast datasets from those important parties involved in real estate e.g. property owners, tenants, service providers, among others, as well as information on the properties and their characteristics or attributes. Without an effective management system, it has been challenging to handle these datasets. The information is kept in paper records that are simple to lose and rip. These datasets are challenging to query, modify, or even manipulate. This has caused delays when customers are looking for rental properties, even though the property managers have hired many workers to handle the large number of customers. A data model has been developed to aid efficiency of day to day responsibilities of property managers including but not limited to record keeping and management decision-making practices, through easy and quick access to all records. The database that has been deigned in both spatial and non-spatial data; Microsoft Access to store non-spatial data and a Geodatabase in ArcGIS to store and also join all the tables containing the data as well as visualize the location of the properties. This has wholesomely enabled data manipulation, easy querying and updates, visualization and display. It has been determined that the data model has successfully combined all property management needs and requirements to enable both property managers and clients to make judgments through querying, manipulation, updates, visualization, and display of the properties locations. en_US
