    Abstract
This project report contains details for the construction of the Buyende Town Water Supply System project, Procurement Reference Number MWE/WSDF-E/WRKS/14-15/00118 from start to practical completion, in which the author was involved as a Contractor’s Site Agent. The project was designed to cater for the need of water supply in Buyende district and its original contract value was UGX. 2,444,757,819. The project commenced on 21st September 2016 and was envisaged to be completed within 12 months. However, practical completion was achieved on 20th February 2018, having expended 42% (5 months) more time than it was planned. The report details the construction methodology and project management practices exercised by the author during execution of the project. It contains the major activities and methodology adopted on the project right from the bidding and award of the contract, to the end of the Defects Liability Period (DLP), and it expressly details construction works and contract administration procedures undertaken during project execution including aspects of safety and health. The different challenges encountered on the project and how they were solved, plus the lessons learned from the project execution in as far as construction project management is concerned are also detailed. The report also details the conclusions drawn by the author and the recommendations made in light of successful management of similar projects going forward.
