dc.description.abstractThis research study focuses on the impact of emergency education on refugee settlement camps in West Nile Region, Uganda. It analyzes the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of different types of educational opportunities provided by the selected international humanitarian agencies and how it is impacting on the refugee children studying in the schools and learning centres at Dzaipi camp. Methods of data collection involved reviewing existing documentaries and reports. The main literatures reviewed are; Interagency Emergency Assessment Report, January 2014; West Nile Profiling Report, July 2019; Uganda Education in Emergencies, February, 2018; The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, UNHCR, 2018; Uganda Strategy for Refugee Education, 2015-2019; Global Survey on Education in Emergencies, February, 20016; Report on Education for Refugees by Windle Trust UK, 2015-2016; United Nations International Children’s Education Fund, UNICEF, 2018 and Uganda Humanitarian Situation Report, April, 2019. The information gathered was used to publish this dissertation report with a focus on emergency education to the children of refugees in Dzaipi camp of Adjumani district.en_US
