    Abstract
    The construction of the ATCG DNA Complex is funded by Uganda Industrial Research Institute. UIRI is a government parastatal Organisation under the auspices of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation whose primary objective is to carry out scientific and industrial research, develop competitive technical services, improve the capacity as well as competence of indigenous entrepreneurs to embark on sustainable industrial production and also produce high quality marketable products, for the benefit of Uganda’s citizens. These activities are supported by a host divisions namely; Engineering services division, System energy division, mechanical division and chemistry/ microbiology analytical laboratories. The Project is the Construction of the ATCG DNA Complex at Uganda Industrial Research Institute Nakawa. This Complex Facility will house DNA laboratories and storage units for ATCG solutions that is a biotechnology company that deals in DNA-based technologies. The Complex will have a reception area, Waiting room, Managing Director's office, Sample collection/ Blood drawing area, DNA/ RNA processing room, PCR room, Sequencing room, Laboratory Manager's office, Accounting administration office, Sample/storage/Ups/Freezers/ consumables/reagents room and the general-purpose restrooms. The total built-up area will be 363.4 when completed. This complex aims at providing the latest and fastest in affordable, accurate and reliable DNA-based technologies and services to healthcare providers, academic institutions, research institutions, government institutions and pharmaceutical companies.
