    Abstract
    The lack of construction management professionals has been at the bottom of several unbecoming practices and occurrences in the construction industry such as: collapse of buildings, incomplete projects, cost escalations, poor construction process administration, lack of technical planning, poor construction controls, unethical procurement procedures, lack of proper supervision, poor production of work, lack of site progress reports, inadequate specifications, low quality work, and lack of technical information during the construction process. All these have had a devastating effect on the national economy and as well as the social fabric This report gives a brief summary of the construction project management practices which include Planning, scoping, Time, Cost, Quality (Aftab Hameed Memon1, 2011) (Chan & and Kumaraswamy, 1997) (Frimpong, Oluwoy, & Crawford, 2003) (Kaliba, Muya, & Mumba, 2009) (Kaming, Olomolaiye, Holt, & Harris, 1997) (Mansfield, Ugwu, & Doran, 1994) (D. & and Hall, 1995) (Sweis, Sweis, Abu Hammad, & Shbpul, 2008) (Yang & Ou, 2008) (Assaf S.A Al-Hejji S, 2006)and Procurement on our construction sites today with case in point, the Rehabilitation and Upgrading of Mulago hospital into a Super Specialised National Referral Hospital. The report brings out the practical experience of the Author on this project and it looks at the parties to contract, key stake holders, time and cost challenges, variations, project payment and cost control as encountered of Mulago Project. The report also provides project management challenges and possible recommendations to areas of improvement so as to uplift construction project management to another level.
