    Technological trends and recruitment management: A case study of True North Consult Ltd

    Abstract
    The study sought to examine the effect of technological trends on recruitment management in True North Consult Ltd. The objectives of the study were; to examine how talent management systems affect job analysis in True North Consult Ltd, to establish the role of technological trends in recruitment management in True North Consult Ltd and to establish how on-line HR selection affect recruitment management in True North Consult Ltd In order to achieve the research objectives, the researcher used both qualitative and quantitative research methods. The sample size was therefore selected from the various departments of the case study. The population size under study was therefore made up of 110 staff members from which a sample size of 86 respondents were selected. Purposive sampling was used and questionnaires were administered. Structured questionnaires were used in the collection of primary data and this was self-administered. Data was entered into SPSS statistical tool which is a package that was developed for analyzing survey data and here the reliability were tested mainly considering relational statistics. The study revealed that talent management helps companies to adapt and install approaches to deal with poor performance and also helps to uncover scenarios where poor performances could occur. In addition it provides a framework within which the best employees are selected. However, managers of True North Consult Ltd often examined a situation in the market at a particular time which would have otherwise helped them determine and classify’ areas of potential risk likely to affect the organization and hence document the characteristics of each situation. The study concludes that True North Consult Ltd management should work on some talent management issues in respect to employee selection criteria, contracting factors and recruitment management. True North Consult Ltd management having worked on all identified recruitment concerns which may have significantly affected the organization success in job analysis and this will improve the success of True North Consult Ltd projects. Job analysis in an organizations is a key issue linked to organization economic performance. The employee selection and recruitment in Uganda is an increasingly competitive environment and therefore under constant pressure to manage its cost by putting in place strong measurement mechanisms.
