dc.description.abstractThis project report contains details of a design and construction of the storied residential development with cost effective Contemporary / Minimalistic style that dictates the interiors theme for all spaces in the Entire house at plot 500, block 243 Mutungo hill, Nakawa Kampala. The report focuses on construction project management and contract administration, but also details the activities carried out during the implementation process. Chapter One describes the introduction of the project and explains how the project will provide an in-sight about the issues related to execution of Design, construction works and application of project management knowledge practiced by the author in the process of implementation of the said project. Chapter Two covers literature review and project details. This includes the problem statement, project objectives and construction project details. This chapter also states my involvement on the project as the Technical Project Coordinator Hub Construction services Ltd. Chapter Three entails the project implementation phase of the project which includes contract documentation required prior to site handover, site possession, mobilization and supervision. This chapter also covers in detail the construction works and Safety, Health and Environmental Protection issues on the project. Chapter Four describes the project management practices which include project time management, project cost management, project quality management and project human resource management. Chapter Five details the challenges that were faced during the implementation of the project and the lessons learnt. The conclusions during execution of the project are discussed in Chapter Six. Additionally, recommendations are also made on how future projects can be successfully implemented.en_US
