    Clinical Supervision, Psychological Flexibility, Mental Health and Job Satisfaction among Mental Health Workers in Selected Mental Health Facilities in Kampala District.

    Abstract
    The study investigated the relationship between employee supervision, psychological flexibility, employee mental health and job satisfaction among employees in mental health facilities in Kampala. The researcher’s motive was to find out whether clinical supervision, psychological flexibility and mental health could have an effect on job satisfaction. The study was guided by specific objectives which were to examine the relationship between clinical supervision and job satisfaction, to explore the relationship between psychological flexibility and job satisfaction, to examine the relationship between employee mental health and job satisfaction, and to examine mental health as a mediator and psychological flexibility as a moderator between clinical supervision and job satisfaction among mental health workers. Research data was collected from a sample of 162 respondents including psychologists, nurses, doctors, PCOs and management/ administration in treatment facilities. The researcher obtained data through a survey using a structured self-administered questionnaire. The 162 respondents were sampled using stratified random sampling. The researcher used a lickert scale format questionnaire. Pearson product of moment correlation coefficient test was used to establish relationship between clinical supervision and psychological flexibility, psychological flexibility and mental health, mental health and job satisfaction. The results of the study revealed that clinical supervision is positively and significantly related to intrinsic and extrinsic job satisfaction, clinical supervision is significantly related to mental health, this implied that clinical supervision, mental health and psychological flexibility have a significant effect on employee job satisfaction. This therefore implies that, mental health facilities to achieve job satisfaction by their employees requires a stable mental health for the workers, good psychological flexibility and clinical supervision. Therefore, the study recommends that organizations where there are mental health workers provide clinical supervision services which will impact positively on employees mental health and job satisfaction.
