    Abstract
    This report is written in partial fulfillment of the requirements leading to the award of a Master of Science in Construction Management of Makerere University. The main aim of the project was to provide clean and safe water and promote sanitation to the people of Kakooge town in Nakasongola District who were experiencing acute water shortage. The report gives a summary of the work which the author undertook as a resident supervising officer during the design review, implementation and Operation and Maintenance of Kakooge piped water supply system in Nakasongola District. The project was financed by the Government of Uganda (GOU) through the Rural Water Development Conditional grant and the community of Kakooge Township. The project was initially designed by M/S Hydraulic and Sanitation Consult in the year 2007 and the author undertook a design review in the year 2009 before implementation began in the year 2009. The project was implemented by Nakasongola District Local Government (NDLG) with Technical Backstopping from Technical Support Unit 5(TSU5) of the Ministry of Water and Environment. This is the Final Design Review and Implementation Report for Kakooge Town Water Supply and Sanitation system.
