dc.description.abstract In this paper, we analyze security considerations for a remote Internet voting system based on the system architecture of remote Internet voting. We examine whether it is feasible to successfully carry out remote electronic voting over the existing Internet infrastructure that conforms to the requirements of a public election process of; integrity, anonymity, confidentiality, and intractability. Using the Delov-Yao threat analysis model, we perform a threat analysis on the system and highlight limitations of existing solutions to mitigate these threats. We present suggestions on how to improve some of the proposed solutions in literature and we end with our opinion about technical feasibility of remote e-voting over the Internet and the future work. en_US
