dc.description The painting celebrates human life at its early stage, it shows an encounter between two young lovers, dreaming to start married life. In this work, Ifee present two human figures. A nude man lying in the Foreground and the female nude in the middle of the painting. What separates these two figures is a flowering tree whose leaves are holed up by insects. The tree stands for the limitations that prevents the two lovers from becoming one. It suggests the dowry that has to be paid before their marriage can be consummated and blessed. The entire painting is presented in haze colours which give the work a dreamlike atmosphere. The blues that dominate the work creates a sense of love, hope and aspiration. These two young lovers are mysteriously connected to one another by suggestive hand and leg features and their presumed relationship seems to be more of a dream than a reality. en_US
