dc.description.abstract The study examined the utilisation of MUELE among the undergraduate students of Makerere University. These were the four objectives of the study; to establish the level of MUELE utilization; to assess the effect of perceived usefulness on MUELE utilization; to determine the effect of perceived ease of use on MUELE utilization; and to determine the effect of students‟ attitudes on MUELE utilization. The study used a descriptive cross-sectional survey design. A sample of 276 participants were selected using simple random sampling technique. The response rate was 85% and face to face surveys interviews and documentary reviews were used to collect the data. The data were thematically analysed. Key findings revealed that, the Mean utilization level of MUELE was moderate (M=3.17). There was a moderate, positive relationship between perceived usefulness and MUELE utilization; a weak positive relationship between perceived ease of use and MUELE utilization and a high positive relationship between students‟ attitude and MUELE utilization. The model summary showed a strong positive significant relationship between the independent variables and MUELE utilization implying that the model was statistically significant in predicting the effects of the independent variables and MUELE utilization. The level of MUELE utilization, perceived usefulness; Perceived Ease of Use and students‟ attitude indicates a positive prediction effects. In conclusion the ICT department should mobilize resources to improve the e – learning infrastructures and solve the network connectivity issues, network computers in all classes, employ qualified computer technicians, charge MUELE fees on students and seek external support for the resources to improve MUELE platforms. Also, make the short course on e-learning compulsory for all students and lecturers. Further research focus should be on factors influencing the use of MUELE; establish the level of satisfaction with the MUELE platform among the students and the attitude of lecturers toward MUELE use.
