dc.description.abstract There are about 65.5 million displaced people in the world, out of which about 22.5 million are refugees. The number of refugees is increasing at an alarming rate. Uganda is accommodating about 1.4 million refugees, mostly from war and conflict areas in the Great Lakes region of Africa and the number is increasing on a daily basis. This paper considers Uganda’s approach to the increasing influx of refugees while maintaining peace and prosperity. The paper analyses the underlying causes of the refugee influx, impacts and offers a concept of response en_US
