dc.description.abstract This study examined the relationship between leadership communication and organizational performance, focusing on Uganda Australia Christian Outreach (UACO) as a case study. Uganda Australia Christian Outreach is located along Busabala road, Lubaga South constituency in Kampala district with a population of 205 members. Seventeen were leaders in the Organization and one hundred and eighty eight were members of the Organization. The study was directed by three main objectives that is, to examine the channels of leadership communication in an organization; to examine the barriers to the identified leadership communication channels in an organization and to assess the effect of leadership communication structure on organizational performance at the UACO. The study employed the case study design, a qualitative and quantitative approach to data collection. The tools used to collect primary data were multi-response questionnaires with both open and close ended questions and an interview schedule administered in the different interviews held. Qualitative data analysis mainly was done through Statistical Package for Social Scientists (S.P.S.S), while the quantitative data was analyzed using simple statistics. Presentation of data was done using content analysis, documentary review, frequency tables and bar graphs for both the qualitative and quantitative data. It was established in this study that, there is a relationship between leadership communication and organizational performance. It was learnt that the nature of length chain of commands in UACO greatly affected leadership communication structure and organizational performance. Based on the findings, it is recommended in the study that, organization such as UACO must pay maximum attention to leadership communication, re-design the organizational structure, timely communication, issuing of memos in departments, and installment of suggestion boxes. en_US
