Abstract
The purpose of this project was to develop an online chat system (Instant Messaging and Chat Application System – IMCAS) to be used in the hospital, with the targeted hospital being Mulago hospital. IMCAS is important because it allows for real-time online conversation. The system is meant to enable the general users (patients and non-patients) to interact online with the medical staffs without meeting physically in the hospital. The system is necessary for registering, and updating the user database especially in cases of lost passwords
