Abstract
This study was conducted to establish the impact of communication strategies on staff performance in Compassion International Affiliated Projects. The study particularly sought to establish how regular communication, management relations and training in information skills were affecting staff performance in the districts of Masaka and Mbarara. The study was carried out by cross sectional and descriptive design. Data was collected using questionnaires from 63 respondents that were conveniently selected. Raw data was presented and analyzed using SPSS and the research hypotheses were verified using Pearson Product –Moment correlation. The study established that communicating to staff regularly yields good results and rapport is created that consequently motivates employees. The findings showed that subordinates were more likely to comply with superiors who have rapport building behavior. Staff of Compassion International Affiliated Projects prefer training in information skills to enable them perform in a professional and effective manner. The researcher concluded that through communication; rapport is created that motivates employees. According to the study, training enabled workers to perform in an effective manner. The researcher thereafter, recommended that organizations put in place channels most appropriate for the receiver to effectively deliver. Management should therefore ensure that continuous workshops, seminars and conferences be organized to improve on employee performance.
