Abstract

A report of the workshop on utilization of urban market wastes, with findings of research carried out on: The effects of utilizing urban market wastes as soil fertility amendments in integrated pest management in peri-urban farming systems; Urban market wastes for soil fertility improvements; Effects of feeding varying levels of urban crop wastes on the performance of lactating dairy cows; Assessment of waste situation and potential for re-use in urban and peri-urban areas of Lake Victoria crescent.
