The role of staff training on organisational performance
Abstract
The field of work is ever-changing which requires staff to update their skills and competencies through training. This study examined the role of staff training on staff performance with an aim of recommending strategies for organisations to optimize their staff training efforts. The study objectives included; to explore the existing staff training trends, investigate the problems faced in staff training and recommend strategies for improving staff training. The findings demonstrate that staff training offers significant benefits, including increased employee expertise, a culture of continuous learning, and a more engaged workforce. However, challenges exist, such as ensuring engaging content, addressing diverse learning styles, and measuring the impact of training. The study recommends strategies to overcome these challenges, including conducting thorough training needs analyses, fostering a learning culture, and utilizing technology for flexible learning. By implementing these strategies, organizations can create a thriving learning environment that empowers employees and drives long-term success
