| dc.description.abstract | This study aimed at establishing the association between traumatic events, resilience and post-traumatic growth among the South Sudanese refugee youths. The study was conducted in Imvepi, and Bidi-Bidi resettlement camp in Uganda. A correlational study design was used and a total of 272 youths participated in this study. Structured questionnaires were the main data collection tools and data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Pearson correlation was used to determine the level of significance of the hypotheses. The results indicated a significant relationship between exposure to traumatic events and post traumatic growths among refugee youths living in the settlements. The results further showed that the significant relationship between post traumatic events and post traumatic growth and significantly mediated by resilience. However, the prevalence of resilience and PTG were moderate and another outcome was significant. | en_US |
