dc.description.abstract | The purpose of the study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the motivational factors at Kakira
Sugar Limited. The study was guided by the following objectives; to find out the effectiveness
of leadership styles in motivating employees of Kakira Sugar Limited; to evaluate the
effectiveness of staff compensation in motivating employees at KSL and to evaluate the
effectiveness of fringe benefits in motivating workers at Kakira Sugar Limited.
The study adopted a cross sectional design and descriptive analysis was used to understand the
finding and draw conclusions and recommendations. Quantitative approach was used to collect
and analyse data gathered from staff members of Kakira Sugar Limited.
The study discovered that leadership styles, staff compensation and fringe benefits effectively
motivate employees at KSL. The study therefore recommends that KSL should reinforce the
supply of such motivational factors, to avoid de-motivated employees whose attitude adversely
impacts the company performance. KSL should closely monitor current staff compensation
systems, fringe benefit allocation and the leadership styles adopted by the managers.
Furthermore, management should offer commensurate pay to work done and put into effect
policies that stipulate compensation to boost employees’ morale for enhanced performance | en_US |
