The study employed a descriptive research design and using a mixed method approach involving qualitative and quantitative data collected from 77 respondents out of a sample of 89 employees using a survey questionnaire. The study revealed that some of the drivers of CSR at KCCA are associated with the desire to safeguard their brand and the good name of the corporation and its affiliates, encourage social responsibility, and allow green and ethical marketing as well as demonstrating that KCCA are meant to serve the public. The study also revealed that KCCA employees lack respect and this could have a negative effect on their reputation and brand, CRS involves having respect for human rights and positively engage with people. Lastly, the study established the different barriers to CSR. The study revealed that employees at KCCA are not cooperative, CSR initiatives are often expensive, legal systems are ineffective in enforcing CSR, and inefficient government policies on CSR practices hinder the socially responsible behavior of organizations. The study therefore recommended that leaders and public sector management need to focus on strengthening their corporate governance structures so as to meet the demands of CSR. Further, respect the employees, the environment, and implement fair prices and respect consumers to be able to operate responsibly and ethically, to improve their corporate image and brand reputation | en_US |
